I just want to encourage you (again) to visit http://www.bornintobrothels.com/ and take a look at the kids and the pictures they've taken telling their story. What was important for them to capture on film. You can order prints, though they are pricey. The DVD is $20 and a donation of that goes to Kids With Cameras, however, the companion book Born Into Brothels sells for $65 and all the proceeds go directly to the program. It really is a beautiful site, with four functioning workshops (Cairo, Haiti, Jerusalem and Calcutta) informing kids on photography and how to better their talents, getting themselves out of the brothels, into the schools and really shedding some hope onto their futures.

The picture that's now my header was taken by Avijit (pronounced oh-vuh-jeet)who you get to know through the DVD. He is now 17 and attending a university in the states! Kids With Cameras made it possible for him to leave his, what seemed hopeless circumstances as a child of sex workers, and obtain a passport to travel to Amsterdam representing KWC at age 13!
