Here it be
Alright, thanks for waiting ever so patiently for this update. The answer to the two questions I've been asked over and over "So, are you leaving? When?". I am NOT leaving long term as I had originally thought, but I am planning to travel places whenever I am able. Since I took that fateful trip to Lakeland, Florida I really clung to a different way of living. There are some things I wish I could be doing that I did there, but that all comes with time and figuring out the status and needs of where I'm at. Which is, Connecticut. I've made alot of friends in various parts of this country that have commited themselves to helping the homeless, the hungry, the downtrodden, the weary and people who are losing hope. I can hardly wait to visit them in each of their areas as time allows.
I started my job back at ERfC this past week. Working at Barnard Elementary instead of JFK middleschool, and let me tell you the little ones are a TREAT. I am loving this...seriously. It's incredible. I had been helping at a soup kitchen called the Friendship Center up until this past week, it was the highlight of my days - however it runs during the same hrs that I work now so as sad as I am to leave them, I'm going to have to help elsewhere. Looking locally, and have found need EVERYWHERE. I of course knew this beforehand, but it seems, since certain doors have been closed, that God really does want me here right now. So here I stay.
I'd like to let everyone know that I have alot of room in my little basement apartment now (haha no furniture provides lots of floor space!!) so you are more then welcome to come visit, hang out, bring a sleeping bag and chill with me anytime you'd like. What's mine was never really mine, and HE wants us to share. Please come let me share with you; I know it'll be a blessed time. WOO!
